A History of Violence

i can hardly keep up my film journal now, the date and time is all wrong...but this one, i remember it and still regret missing the first few min of the opening scene. the fact that ppl use violence against violence in order to have peace shocks me to my very core, not a first in filmmaking history, but it certainly gets some points cross...it makes me wonder how much peace we actually get in the end? and how much of it is under false pretense?
